Unit I My classroom

(Let's talk and play)

  Good morning/afternoon,my dear judges.I'm number4.It's my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas.Today my topic is jobs.My presentation consists of the following aspects.

  I.Analysis of teaching materials

  Firstly,let's come to the analysis of teaching material.This lesson is a new one of Unit 1.It mainly talks about the classroom.Through the talk between Zhang Peng and Sarah,presents the sentence structure,which is used to describe the things in their classroom.

  【Justification】After the students learned this part they can grasp more sentences and use them to describe their classroom.And It will also lay a foundation for the further English learning.

  Ⅱ.Analysis of students

  Secondly,students are the subject of our class.The students of this period are active and curious,they have learned the second language for one year.They can know some basic words,phrases and some simple sentences patterns.But they are shy to say English in their daily life,and the words and the sentences are not enough for them to tell about'their classroom.As the teacher,I will provide them more chances to learn English quickly and practice more.

  【Justification】By analyzing teaching material and students correcty,it will also lay a foundation for the setting of teaching material and find students key and diffcult points of this lesson.

  Ⅲ.Analysis of teaching aimsBy the analysis of the New Curriculum Standard in English,teaching material and the students in my class,Iset the following three teaching aims:

  ◆Knowledge aims Students can read and recognize the words: classroom,really,picture,near,window and understand the meaning of sentences and use it to ask about the position of the things in the classroom.

  ◆Ability aim Through the activities and games,students”ability of speaking and listening can be improved.

  Emotional aim Students can get to love their classroom and classmates more than before.

  IV.Analysis of teaching key points and difficult points

  According to the analysis above,then I set the important and the difficult points of this lesson as follows:

  ◆Key point Students can master the pronunciation and intonation in the sentences,and use the sentence: Where is..It's in/on/under/near…

  ◆Difficult point Use the new words and sentences to describe the things in their classroom correctly and freely.

  V.Analysis of teaching methods and learning methods

  ◆As to the teaching methods,Communicative Approach and Task based Teaching Method will be adopted in this lesson.

  ◆Based on the learning condition of my students,I arranged some activities to make the reading process more attractive.For example,I will ask students to make competition in groups,which can help them foster a good sense of cooperation.

  V.Analysis of teaching aids

  In order to catch students'attention,cultivate their listening and speaking abilities,a tape recorder and multimedia will be used in this class.

  IVTeaching Procedures

  Good start is half the battle,seize the opportunity to be prepared to achieve a multiplier effect.

  ◆ StepIWarming-up and lead-inFirstly,I will greet with the students and ask them to look □ the pictures on the PPT,showing them the pictures:desk,chair,blackboard,schoolbag and some'other things in the classroom,and ask them some questions about the pictures like: What color is it? Can you see it in our class? Please point it to me.

  And then ask them: Where we can see these things.Lead students to give the answer: In the classroom.

  【Justification】By showing the pictures of their houses can provide them good English learning surrounding and also can lay a good foundation for the next part.This also cam attract their attention to this lesson.

  ◆Step 2 PresentationIn presentation stage,first I will say:Sarah and Zhang Peng have a new classroom.And then ask the question: What's in the classroom? Let's image: What will in the classroom?and ask some of them to answer this question.Then I will play the tape of this par,ask them to listen to it carefully,And after the first time of listening the students need to answer to the question: What's in the classroom? Under my leading students will give the answer: A picture/Sarah's picture.Then I will write the word“picture”on the blackboard.And tell the students to listen to the tape again,after this times”listening they need to tell where is this picture.Then I will lead them to say:It's near the window.And then I will write the sentence*it's near the window”on the black board.

  Next,I willask the students to practice the conversation with their partner,and then ask some of them to show it to the class.

  【Justification】By doing these,their interests of learning English can be arose.By showing them the pictures they can understand the words'meaning more vividly and by listening to the tape they can correct their pronunciation.

  ◆Step 3 PracticeNext I will say something about my consolidation stage.In this part I will show them the pictures of let's play part,draw table on the blackboard,write the alphabets and then the words,and then the positions where the alphabet are.Students and I will fnish this part together according to the pictures.

  Then I set four activities to consolidate the words,First I will talk about activity oneAccording to the table,I will ask them the alphabets and they need to say the words.If Isay:c.Students answer: car/crayon.IfIsay: e.Students answer: eraser.And then ifIsay it in a loud voice,students say it in a quiet voice,if I say it in a quiet voice,students say it in a loud voice.

  ◆Step 4 ProductionThis time students need to answer the phrases.I will say; picture.Students say: on the wall.I say: car.Students say: on the book.

  The third activity is in this part I will ask them to add sentences.They will show the dialogue like:One student says:Isee a“c”.The other one answers: Where is it ?One student keep saying:It'sin a desk.His partner answers: It's a crayon.

  And then I will ask them to practice this dialogue with their partners and then ask some of them to show it to all of us,

  The last,I will play the hide-and-seek game with the students,for example,I will ask all the students to close their eyes,and then ask some of them to hide the book,and then ask all of them to open the eyes and ask the students where the book is by using the sentences we learned today.

  【Justification】By doing these activities,students could better recognize the meanings of the words and through the game they can practice the if listening and speaking abilities

  ◆Step 5 Summary and HomeworkAt the end of the class,I'd like to make a summary about this lesson and present my homework to consolidate what the students have learned in this period.

  ◆Summary:I will ask students what we have learned today,and ask some of,them to have a summary of the words,some of them to have a summary of the sentences.

  ◆Homework:I will ask them to listen to the tape after class,and play the hide-and-seek game with their classmates after class and do remember to use the sentence we learn today when they are playing the game.

  【Justification】By summary and homework,students will enable to consoldate what we have learned today.And It will also bu helpful to keep their interest of English learning.
